Rachel Briscoe, JD, MA
Educational Consultation & Psychological Testing
I’m a school psychologist and licensed secondary teacher with over 20 years of experience working in schools throughout the state of Indiana. I believe that all children can succeed. A comprehensive evaluation is the most effective process to understand a child’s learning profile in order to create an informed plan to navigate challenges. I am here to support you and your child through the process of cognitive and achievement testing as part of your overall psychological evaluation with your psychologist at Bloom. I also help families navigate the educational system to support their child’s success.
I joined Bloom in 2023 to conduct psychoeducational evaluations and am thrilled to offer testing outside of school hours to limit the time your child may need to be pulled out of school. I have experience conducting testing for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disorders such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, and cognitive disabilities.
In addition to testing, I also offer educational consultation to guide parents and guardians through the process of securing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans. I collaborate with families to create tailored strategies that meet each child’s unique needs and am dedicated to empowering your family with the tools and insights you need to advocate effectively for your child. I look forward to helping your family find clarity and achieve positive outcomes at school.
Here to support you and your child.
The results
"Within team meetings and case conferences, Rachel conducts herself in a respectful manner and is sensitive to parent and teacher concerns. It is evident that school staff and families highly respect Rachel as well. She presents her reports thoroughly and provides multiple examples of items that are assessed within the multidisciplinary evaluations so that committee members can easily understand."
